The ozone layer continues to deteriorate, but at the North Pole

World Meteorological Organization (WMO) United Nations said in a report released in Vienna, that the destruction of the ozone layer reaches levels of 40% and that the 2011 levels of ultraviolet radiation (UV) will be much higher than in previous years. In the late 90's the level of destruction of the layer North Pole was 30%.


Based on the movement of air masses in the Arctic hole can affect various parts of the Northern Hemisphere, so far has affected large areas of Canada, Central Russia, Scandinavia and North China, the UV rays cause cancer in the skin and the weakening of the immune system.
